Independent Retail Europe replies to the Commission consultation on Data Act & amended rules on the legal protection of databases
On 3rd June 2021, the European Commission launched a public consultation to prepare its upcoming Data Act. This future legislation will aim to facilitate access to and use of data, and review the rules on the legal protection of databases, in order to incentivize investment in data, without changing the data protection framework. Independent Retail Europe has contributed to this consultation.
