Aktivitäten im Rahmen des Verhaltenskodex zur Unterstützung nachhaltiger Lebensmittelsysteme

Als Gründungsorganisation und einer der Erstunterzeichner des Kodex unterstützt Independent Retail Europe den Kodex voll und ganz, indem es seine ehrgeizigen Ziele unterstützt und unsere Mitglieder über den Kodex informiert und einbindet. Unsere Mitglieder sind sich ihrer Verantwortung bewusst und tragen ihren fairen Teil dazu bei, unseren Planeten für alle zukünftigen Generationen zu erhalten. Sie verabschieden Strategien und ergreifen wertvolle Initiativen für die wirtschaftliche, soziale und ökologische Dimension der Nachhaltigkeit, indem sie Hand in Hand arbeiten mit Kunden, Herstellern und Landwirten.

Der Brundtland Bericht definiert das Konzept der nachhaltigen Entwicklung wie “eine Entwicklung, die die Bedürfnisse der Gegenwart befriedigt, ohne zu riskieren, dass künftige Generationen ihre eigenen Bedürfnisse nicht befriedigen können.“

Unsere Mitglieder sind sich ihrer Verantwortung bewusst und tragen ihren Teil dazu bei, unseren Planeten für alle künftigen Generationen zu erhalten. Sie veröffentlichen regelmäßig Nachhaltigkeitsberichte, ergreifen wertvolle Initiativen für die wirtschaftliche, soziale und ökologische Dimension von Nachhaltigkeit und arbeiten dabei Hand in Hand mit Kunden, Herstellern und Landwirten.
