Joint retail sector statement: Key principles for Google compliance with Article 6(5) of the Digital Markets Act

Ecommerce Europe, EuroCommerce and Independent Retail Europe express the retail sector’s serious concerns about the solution proposed by Google to implement Article 6(5) of the Digital markets Act for its shopping services and retail. In our joint statement, the three organisations put forward three key principles that should be respected in any solution proposed by Google, as well as various technical comments. We urge the Commission to press Google to incorporate them in its compliance plans without delay.
